The San Ignacio de Loyola Home for the Elderly is a home belonging to the Narciso Goycoolea Espoz Foundation

It is a secular, non-profit organization, located in the commune of San Bernardo, Chile, which aims to improve the quality of life through a Shelter for elderly people in the sector, who are in a situation of helplessness, extreme poverty and/or social vulnerability, giving them a better quality of life.

What we do

Today we have 18 residents but throughout our 25 years of experience, we have welcomed more than 50 older adults, being able to deliver love, company, security, and tranquility in their last days.

100% of our income depends on the contribution of private individuals and on the goodwill of the "friends of the home" which allow us to support the payment of fixed expenses corresponding to basic services and salaries of our workers, which makes it extremely difficult for us to access any renewal or arrangement.

We need to repair our roof since it already 25 years.

The nursing home's roof is already 25 years old and without any repair, since after 25 years our roof is not in conditions to withstand a new winter, That is why we resorted to this campaign.

The project to be financed consists of the repair and renovation of the roof of the entire building of the building used as a nursing home, which dates back to the foundation of the organization, which has had leaks, breaks, and patches for several years.

From the budget's plan from the architect, we need at least about $26,155,266. However, we are also trying to request support from other foundations and institutions that will allow us to pay for the entire project to repair it.
