Help me! I want to help my grandparents.

Hello! Let me tell you my story.

My name is Irma Encina from Mexico, I am 20 years old university student. My family is made up of my 73-year-old grandmother, my 58-year-old grandfather,   my sister (16) and myself. My sister and I are totally dependent on my grandparents.

Coronavirus changed everything.

Our economic situation and maybe of many other people was hit hard by the Coronavirus, my grandfather is the only one who works, but due to his age and his delicate health (he suffers from hypertension and 6 years ago he suffered a heart attack so he is a high risk patient if he is affected by COVID-19) for this reason he cannot go to work. This directly impacts his salary as he drives a concrete mixer and his salary increases depending on the number of trips, so let's say that currently he only receives a base salary that is not enough to provide for the whole family and guarantee a survival. Bills begin to accumulate and I am concerned about seeing my grandparents so desperate, mainly because it is not good for their health.My grandmother also suffers from hypertension and even has a heart condition called dilated cardiomyopathy..

About me.

Probably at this point you are wondering why I am not working, well let me explain, until last year I had a job which helped my grandparents with household expenses and bills but I had to quit due to my anxiety, depression problems and social phobia (that's why there are no photos in my story, so I apologize for that) increased so I had to leave work to focus only on university, I am currently undergoing psychiatric treatment, generating even more expenses for my grandparents by having to buy the medications I need, this Covid-19 situation has certainly greatly increased my anxiety and more when seeing my grandparents so worried about our economic situation.

Our education is at risk.

The start of a new school year is approaching, which means paying for the tuition, although it is not so much because my sister and I study in public schools, right now involves a very large expense for my family. In addition, I still do not know if the next semester I will starts taking classes online which means another problem for my family, because our laptop is too old and slow (We have it since 2011) so it does not perform at all and it has really caused us many problems to finish last semester. Thinking about starting a semester online causes me a lot of anxiety and distress. .

Doing this embarrasses me a little, because I never thought I would get to this point but my despair has led me to this, so to recap a little, the money will be used in the best way possible. I will use it to help my grandparents with all the bills and expenses and if I manage to get enough I will also buy a computer to continue our studies.
