Help a Colombian family in COVID-19 Times

Hello there! My name is Liseth Herazo, we live in Cartagena, Colombia. This is a very touristic city therefore it has been quite very affected by COVID-19.

The pandemic has closed many companies and left thousands of people unemployed since March 2020 without knowing how long the quarantine could take. The restrictions in the city are very strict, food prices are increasing and we have not yet reached the peak of being infected, this allows it to become very difficult to get a decent job at this time.

Help us to carry out this project

My entire family was left without a job and without an income to support themselves at this time, so we presented this family project to raise laying hens.

We want to be able to buy chickens and raise them, in a period of approximately one month. feed them and with their eggs we will be distributing them in order to generate an income at this time and feed many families, since food is also scarce in the city. 

With the adaptation of the place, the purchase of chickens, the rent of the land and food for a month, we spent approximately 6 million COP. Depending on the daily diet and care we will have the first production.

This project also helps community workers who can support us to continue producing in the following months. They are workers with their families who also do not have any type of income.

We believe in this project because it can become financial support for several families and now with covid 19 the main thing is to be able to grow our own food, we see the potential and hope that you will help us achieve this goal.
