Film You will see me contaminating (filming stage)

Hello! This is Yassir from Chile. “We pollute” is a documentary. It talks about the garbage problem in the north part of Chiloe Island, where the center of the story will be the city of Ancud. This problem has had Chiloe under a “Sanitary Alert” for an entire year, which is an "alert category" for places where have some sanitary issues. This caused a lot of problems for the local people since it allowed authorities to place a new dump near a Nature Sanctuary, disrupting the lives of the many farmers that reside around there.

The documentary will show their lives near the Nature Sanctuary, the animals and the forest. As an artist group, we think that it is very important to have an educational responsibility in this film because the Chilean people need to know why this is a dangerous problem. Also, the local people have to know why it’s so important to recycle as well as to be mindful of their purchase and consumption habits, and that the trash problem doesn’t end when the trucks pick up the garbage from their houses. The story will be told by the locals: neighbors, organizations, government and nature.

With this crowdfunding we are looking to finance the filming of the documentary. We have already talked with the people who will participate on this film, so we only have to start filming them to make this happen.

This movie will be showcased all around the Chiloe island to let people know the danger that its near, and also in the continent, where the people of Chile will see how our authorities act when nobody can see them. Now is the moment when everyone needs to wake up and realize what is really happening in their own territory.
