Lunita needs surgery for TCC

Hello!

We are raising funds to pay for the operation, chemotherapy and complementary medicines for our kitten Luna, she is 12 years old and since her birth she has been a very important member of our family, and has already undergone a similar operation in 2018 ( Transitional Cell Carcinoma).

On July 18, 2020, we took her to the vet for control and we were informed that the carcinoma had grown back and her right kidney was damaged. In case the vet cannot be operated on, he tells us that Lunita will only be able to survive for about three months in her current state, with the operation she could extend and improve her quality of life for a few years.

Lunita came to our family on December 4, 2007, daughter of our beloved kitten Kelpy, during the second half of 2018, Kelpy presented a tumor in her jaw which was unrecoverable, therefore our veterinarian recommended us to opt for euthanasia two months after this difficult and sad decision Lunita was diagnosed with Carcinoma (TCC), luckily at that time, as now, the carcinoma was not obstructive, which means that the neck of the bladder is not compromised and This gave us time to perform the operation in conjunction with a subsequent chemotherapy, on that occasion (2018), thanks to the procedures performed, Lunita was able to improve her quality of life after 2 months of treatment.

These are the ultrasound scans of 2019 where the carcinoma was still present but controlled.

Currently the carcinoma conditions are similar to those of 2018 but at this time we do not have the financial means necessary for your treatment. As we mentioned before, Lunita's life is at stake and we have time against it, our hope is to be able to raise the necessary money to operate it at the end of July of this year.
