Financing for Dance and Performing arts gathering.

Hello everyone

We are Fundación Soy Cuerpo, a Chilean non-profit organization that was born as the concrete response of its board of directors, to address the need to value the human body, promoting its comprehensive understanding. We consider it extremely important to broaden and deepen the reflective debate on topics related to the human body and its awareness of it as our first inhabitable territory. As Chilean, we have been dragging a history of dictatorship, violation of human rights and social injustice, which have led us to build ourselves as bodies full of scars and in urgent need of emotional reparation.

It is for this reason that for the second consecutive year we want to carry out “El Cuerpo de la Memoria”. A meeting created from the need to make visible the consequences that we are dragging as a society throughout our history, and which have resulted in a historic “Social Outbreak” in October of 2019.

The second version of El Cuerpo de la Memoria, considers the exhibition of a work of Contemporary Dance, two Performances and a conversation that have as articulating as the repair of our post-dictatorship body-territory and its place in the social outbreak, to be held in October and streamed online.

The financial support of individuals and companies become essential for this realization since as performing arts artists we are facing one of the greatest crises in the history of Chilean culture and arts.
