A SURGERY TO SAVE ADRIANO'S LIFE

Hi everyone!

I am Dalila Martínez, aunt of Adriano Martínez, a little angel who was born on July 31, 2020, in San Fernando de Apure- Venezuela,

Adriano Martínez was born with a very serious and rare condition, known as Prune Belly Syndrome.

Diagnosed with Prune Belly Syndrome

The disease generates three main problems:

1) Alteration of the development of the urinary tract, affecting the kidneys (renal failure).

2) Undescended testicles (cryptorchidism) which remain in the abdomen, causing a risk in the hormonal development of the baby in the future.

3) Absence of the muscles of the abdominal wall affecting their motor development - such as sitting - as well as the lack of protection of their organs.

Pre-operative studies and surgery are necessary to perform.

My little nephew Adriano, needs to carry out the pre-operative studies that will help specialist doctors to determine the causes that generate hydronephrosis of the kidneys prior to surgery.

$ 1,500.00 is needed for the transfer of the baby to the central area of ​​Venezuela where they will carry out the examinations and pre-operative studies. The money collected will be used to cover the expenses of transfers, medical care in the cities of Valencia and Caracas-Venezuela, with the objective that the baby can have access to the consultations of specialist doctors -Urology and Nephrology- since in his hometown (San Fernando de Apure- Venezuela) he does not have these services

The money is urgently required, due to the multiple urinary infections that can occur due to malformations of the urinary tract, as well as respiratory problems that begin to develop at an early age if this condition is not treated urgently.

We couldn't afford the huge amount of bills by ourself

In Venezuela, due to the global pandemic added to the political and socio-economic situation under an informally dollarized economy, where the official currency continues to be the Bolívar (devalued), my brother - Adriano's father - does not have the necessary resources to face this emergency.

He is a merchant and all this situation has prevented him from generating income to cover both his basic needs and obviously everything that this urgency entails. On the other hand, I live in Chile and I and my husband were also affected by the crisis of the global pandemic, generating a very significant reduction in family income, which limits us in being able to provide all the financial support that my brother needs to cover the urgency they have had since my nephew Adriano was born
