Save the Life of Lucas Leiva Marquéz; SMA type I patient

Hello everyone,

This web campaign was born in order to save Lucas Leiva Marquéz, who was born on April 19, 2020 with SMA type I (MUSCULAR SPINAL ATROPHY).

A child patient with SMA should receive treatment for the first 24 months.

SMA type I is a severe childhood form of proximal spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) characterized by severe and progressive muscle weakness and hypotonia resulting from degeneration and loss of lower motor neurons in the spinal cord and in brain stem nuclei. Within the first 24 months, the patient can be healed.

Lucas needs a dose of Zolgensma which is extremely expensive

What Lucas needs is Zolgensma (Developed by the NOVARTIS laboratory), it is extremely expensive (2,000,000 USD or 1,560,000,000 CLP) this would allow him to continue living.

Since, Lucas needs only one dose, a dose that has the potential to correct his abnormal gene and allow Lucas to start producing the protein that he cannot at this moment and thus heal, we have 20 months to save Lucas and allow to stay with us.
