Help me join University this September!

My name is Elaine Marie Makena, I come from Meru, Kenya but I have been brought up in Nairobi, Kenya

I wish to raise funds to join University this September. I have been accepted at the University of Nairobi to undertake a Bachelors's Degree in Anthropology.

Enrolled at the University of Nairobi, major in Anthropology.

I am here to seek help to raise funds for my University education. After I have paid my fees and purchased the necessities, I intend to put the remainder of the funds that I raise in an interest-earning account.

I dropped out 3 years ago for about 6 months until I got a sponsor to take me back to school. My sponsor has now withdrawn from paying my fees because of a lack of funds.

In order for me to be registered as a student, I need to pay my fees, buy a computer and an Internet connection for use in my online classes, undergo a comprehensive medical examination, and book my accommodation at the University hostel when the campus re-opens. I will also purchase school materials as needed.

Help me to raise fund for my university fees

I am here to request for help because my mother is a single parent who is unable and has really struggled to raise me. My background is very humble. For the last 5 years, we have been threatened with eviction at least once a year. My mother is unemployed and she struggles to put food on the table and shelter over our heads.

The amount I am seeking to raise will help me pay tuition fees, hostel accommodation (when the pandemic eases), undergo a medical examination, buy a laptop, and an internet package to help me take online classes because physical classes are not possible right now.

Registration begins on 24th August and closes on 31st August 2020. Classes commence on 7th September 2020.

The deadline is too near and I would really appreciate all the help I can get to secure my place at the University.
