Help me get a laptop for my online classes

Good day!

I am Ferdinand Miguel P. Labatiao, an incoming 3rd-year college nursing student from the Philippines.

My laptop is broken, I need to continue my online classes

We've all been struck by COVID-19, so far the Philippines has arguably the worse COVID-19 response in the world,

we have been on community quarantines for the longest time, and therefore our classes would be done online from now.

My current laptop's screen is broken, and so I really need a new one to participate in the upcoming classes

My family and I couldn't afford to buy a new laptop

Due to COVID-19, one of our parents (our father) has been displaced from work because of the continuous implementation of our community quarantine here in the Philippines. He works at a non-essential establishment (gym instructor) and so their company isn't allowed yet to operate because as I said, they are non-essential businesses.

My mother still has worked at a primary hospital, but her salary is just enough for our monthly needs and bills, as the compensation for frontliners here in the Philippines is really bad.

I also have a brother, grade 12, who will be having online classes soon too, that is why a laptop is really essential for us to continue our study.

Help us so we able to continue our study

I plan to use the gathered funds to buy a new laptop, depending on how much money I can get so that I can participate in our online classes with ease. If budget allows, as I am also currently looking for more ways to get money offline, I would probably get a personal computer instead of a laptop, as I believe that a personal computer would allow for more flexibility in the future, and would, therefore, make sure that the money I gather gets its worth.

The money that I would gather from this fundraising would be used to buy a laptop that costs about $400 or a little bit above if budget permits. Alternatively, I could use the money gathered to instead buy a personal computer worth a little bit over $480

We would really appreciate any and all donations from the people of the internet, I just really want to continue studying and finish my course already so I can get a job and help my family, and help in the health sector in the Philippines.
