Water Supply in Remote Community

Hello! My name is Marcelo Gengosa, I’m from Philippines. 

Summary

Your donation will support initiatives to help partner people's organizations, institutions and communities increase capacities on resiliency and safety such as knowledge generation and sharing and conduct of activities that support advocacy on clean water supply, climate change adaptation, mitigation and environmental protection and mobilizing resources for distribution of drinkable water supply in the community in the Philippines (e.g. providing dehydration interventions program, clean water usage).

Challenges

Serving our community in a little way will make our people prosper and able to move in day to day activities. Our community is one of the remote areas in the Philippines where water is/are the most valuable resource we need and to meet this needs for the people in the community. We may don't have capacity or money to buy filtered or mineral water as only farming is the source of income which may also be left behind from the support of our government, but least we have tap water in our home that enable the community to use for daily necessities. 

The needs and necessities will not be possible to meet if everyone still struggling to fetch or even drink a glass of water, for this reason of fetching drinking water alone for daily needs. Other usage of water as a part of our day to day activity is by taking a bath, washing our cloth, cleaning our kitchen utensils, etc...

Everyone or most of us love where we grow up from the childhood time. We start to see things differently when there is a possibility of taking action towards the benefits of everybody.

Long-Term Impact

While the project is currently distributing water supply as battle water in the community, the project aims to develop a fully functional water supply for the community area for sustainable resources and eventually rebuild an effective communities and enable them to adopt a more proactive, integrated approach to disaster/disease management.

Target Date

We need the water supply as early as 1 month to 2 months projection for this project to complete ( October 20200).
