Medical Assistance for a Suffering Mother of Three Kids

I am Lemuel De Leon from the Philippines

My project is simply to raise funds for the treatment of my cousin's wife, Karen De Leon, who's been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer Stage 1B. All I am planning is to provide the amount I would be able to gather using your platform to their family.

Cervical Cancer Stage 1B

Karen, a mother of three, has been suffering from Cervical Cancer Stage 1B.

She has lost so much weight and is now immobile. She is my cousin's wife, and both of them have not been able to work since her circumstance and COVID-19.

Family and friends have been pitching in to help them, but raising funds has been a challenge. Karen is based in Malabon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Running out of funds

The healthcare program in our country is too limited, it only covers a small portion of the bills. Because of this, we have been trying to constantly run fundraisers to help support her.

Truth be told, her family has been running out of funds.

I would not have an idea of how much Karen would need in total towards her recovery, but we truly hope that she will remain strong. I am aware that she now uses diapers, takes medications, and pays for transportation to and from the hospital. She has had her radiation therapy, but not her chemo yet. She was confined in a government hospital but had been asked to stay home due to the risk of COVID-19. We learned that she also has tuberculosis and a deep pressure sore on her back. She has been transported to her hometown near Metro Manila, which is Bulacan, and will be staying there.

I am launching this campaign in my attempt to provide more help. Karen has started her radiation therapy, and hopefully, with your help, she can proceed with her chemotherapy and continue her medication
