Gadget Drive for Paranaque Science High School Students

Parents, teachers, and alumni of Paranaque Science High School have come together to create this Gadget Drive for the benefit the students of the said school.

Shift to Online Learning

This year, the school has shifted to online learning via the Quipper Virtual Classroom as provided by the Department of Education. With this shift, students are able to continue their education while at home. However, some students are faced with a challenge -- no available gadget to work with or limited access to internet connection.

Gadget Drive for ParSci Students

Through the help of parents and teachers of ParSci, we were able to conduct a survey to determine the number of students who need help in acquiring the tools they need to learn:

Grade 7: 22 tablets, 15 WiFi modems

Grade 8: 18 tablets, 9 WiFi modems

Grade 9: 14 tablets, 9 WiFi modems

Grade 10: 25 tablets, 13 WiFi modems

Grade 11: 31 tablets, 7 WiFi modems

Grade 12: 10 tablets, 10 WiFi modems

Estimated value for each are as follows:

Tablet: PhP 3,150 each ($63)

WiFi Modem: PhP 999 each ($20)

We have a long way to go for this Gadget Drive but with small donations we will be able to provide a good future for these students today. We hope to provide the tools to the students before their first day of school on October 5.
