Cash for a Cause: Relief for Families affected by the COVID-19

This is Waldy Magtoto from ANTIPOLO CITY FOOTBALL CLUB. Nice to meet you!

We are an organization from the Philippines that caters to association football and futsal enthusiasts of all ages. It is run by volunteers teaching the basics and advanced skills needed for the game. It is open to anyone willing to learn and play football.

We are taking this crowdfunding initiative to help families who continue to struggle to cope with the COVID-19 lockdown, particularly those residing in Antipolo City.

About us

Our mission is to develop youth players on and off the pitch. We’re committed to providing athletes the opportunity to develop skills essential to positive growth in the sport of soccer and to inspire each player to a lifelong enjoyment of the game.

Players will not only develop the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological components of the game, they will also teach the importance of commitment, good sportsmanship, teamwork, respect for themselves and others, and an ability to learn from both winning and losing.

The united efforts of parents, coaches and players shall be essential in achieving these goals, realizing that only through commitment, hard work, and execution will we "win" both on and off the playing field.

Our current situation

Due to COVID-19 many jobs have been lost.

Lots of Trainers/coaches as well as families are forced to stay home and business owners are not permitted to open.

Since 90% of the kids we cater to are under-privileged, for them to continue with their daily needs, the club helps out in any possible way we could think of. That is, providing relief goods in the form of pack foods/toiletries etc.

The need for “compassion” becomes stronger than ever and as caring citizens of our city, the members of ACFC are determined to provide assistance to Antipolo City's marginalized poor's current needs.

We are targeting to help 100 families or more within Antipolo City and to extend more help - the farthest we can.

With the received funds, we will be able to provide relief goods and hand them out to those families in need.

If possible, we would like to start the distribution of the relief goods just by pre-Christmas gift giving this year.

We are humbly knocking on your hearts to help us reach our goal. Any amount of donation, as well as donations in kind is well appreciated and is a blessing to those who need it for their day-to-day sustenance.
