Help us pay medical expenses for SAMO

Hello everyone, My name is Jacinta Correa and hoping not to take too much of your time, I want to show you the story of Samo, my dog: 

On May 12, my brother and I bought him a new brand of food, one we had never tried before and he ate it without any problems, he loved that food.

 But two weeks after that, we saw many recent complaints about that brand on social networks, people said that the food had extremely high amounts of copper and their dogs became seriously ill (some, unfortunately, died without warning). 

Of course, we threw out all the remaining food and bought another brand, hoping that our dog wouldn't get sick. Unfortunately, on June 28th his abdomen started to swell, he stopped eating as usual and he hardly moved at all (which was very rare, because even though he is 12 years old he is very active). 

At the vet, Samo was diagnosed with mild ascites. His diet changed completely, and he was fine for a while, until on September 19th his condition worsened again, as you can see in this video:

The next day, we went back to the vet, they told us that his right atrium (in the heart) had collapsed and he had cirrhosis of the liver.

 He spent the night at the vet and was operated on the next day. 

They removed 1.5 liters of fluid from Samo's abdomen and  clotted blood from your heart. He is now much better, although he lost a lot of weight, because his liver is not able to absorb most of the nutrients. For the rest of his life, he must eat special liver foods. 

Now I come to you for help. The surgery, the special food and all the medicines you have to take in the next few years, means spending money we don't have. 

We had to spend all our savings and still got into debt, the surgery alone was over 600 USD. We want to give our dog the best life in the years that he has left, so please, even if it is only 1 dollar, it means a lot to us.
