Disco Infierno is doing a FREE online show on October 17th and 24th to fundraise money for transgender people in Colombia through Red Comunitaria Trans.

The Red Comunitaria Trans

Red Comunitaria Trans is a community-based organization that work with transgender population in Bogotá, particularly among trans women in the Red-Light District of the city.

Red Comunitaria Trans aim to consolidate the union between trans people who work on the street, academia, social organizations, community work and all those who want to be part of the construction of a gender identity law to obtain legal recognition nationwide.

It is located in the Santa Fe neighborhood (Bogotá’s Red-Light District); working together with trans women in contexts of high vulnerability, street habitability, HIV, trans people deprived of liberty inside La Picota prison, trans people who perform sex work, among others. These women face constant discrimination both from society in general and institutional entities that instead of protecting and recognize them as citizens, refuses them access to basic human rights.
