I don't want to lose my home

Hi everyone.

My name is Karina Cepeda, I live with my husband and my two children in Palmira, Colombia.

Going through difficult times and worsened by pandemic effect

For 3 years we have been going through a tough economic situation that has been worsened by the pandemic.

We are good people and we have tried to solve our day to day with sales, some type of informal work or not very stable jobs, and so we go while we achieve a stable job and in turn stabilize our financial situation. In 2014 we invested in a house with part savings, part a bank loan (Housing Leasing). In 2017 we changed jobs, and everything financially began to deteriorate.

With great effort we support our days to days, we pay for the basic things that every family has. (House credit fee, Food, Public services, Health, Children's schools). This year has been very difficult due to the pandemic, we had been paying our house credit in arrears but we were never more than 5 months behind because that way we knew that the bank could take away the house.

We don't want to lose our house

We were unable to pay the 4 late installments and the notification of voluntary delivery of the property arrived 3 weeks ago.

We made a payment agreement with the bank, but they did not inform us that we had to make the payment before September 29 at 10 a.m. and when we got to the bank at 3:00 p.m. They informed us that they could not receive payment because the system had been closed at 12 noon.

Until October 13, they informed us that then we had to pay $ 7,900,000. We only have $ 1,350,000 that was the down payment agreement. So yesterday (October 14) I thought that we should seek help.

We are missing $ 6,550,000 Colombian pesos, for that reason I went to Crowdfunding as the way I feel I can save our house. We are good people going through a difficult financial time.

About $ 7,900,000 in Colombian peso (about 2,100 USD) we must consign all to the BBVA Bank in Colombia. So we update the house and after 3 monthly payments that we continue to consign on time, the bank withdraws the demand for the property.

We have no time, otherwise, we lose our home.
