Elite Sports Center: To improve health and economy Condition in Ghana

Hello!

We are from Elite Sports Complex, located in Ghana.

We would like to build 2 football mini size pitches that is an initiative project to promote the good health and well-being of citizens and give them a sense of community by providing a world-class and well-maintained sports center at a reasonable cost and within their vicinity.

Organization mission

There is a huge quality difference between Sports Center in Europe and Africa. I have experienced it myself when I moved to Germany and was able to play football regularly on a quality football pitch, I realized how the joy of many children in my community has been taken away.

The absence of a football space and a quality football pitch makes this impossible to be enjoyed by these wide sections of citizens. Most spaces are either used for residential buildings or office space with the unavailability of recreational facilities taking a toll on the health of citizens in my country Ghana.

Therefore, drawing from my experiences in both Ghana and Germany I am motivated to provide a sports complex for the people of my community so as they enjoy the football they have longed to play. This will drive a sense of community and belongingness.

Organization objective and Plan

We planned to build an accessible, affordable and eco-friendly sporting and leisure complex for the North Legon community and its surrounding areas in Ghana, Africa.

We intend to use the first 6 months to raise funds towards this project and we estimate to use another 6 months towards the building of this sports complex for the community, the funds will be allocated for:

- Purchase of the land

- Building of the astro-turf pitches

- Building of changing rooms and shower space

- Construction of a 100 seater football stand

- Finishing with minor infrastructure change and operational activities

- Commissioning of the Sports Center.

Alleviating poverty in Africa with the help of soccer

If the project is successful, not only the children will get the benefit, it will help the community surrounding the sports center too, The following is the future plan if the sports complex has been built:

1. 5% contribution of profits to help community children get formal education

2. Supporting startup businesses by advertising their services on our billboard for free

3. Supporting local laundromats by getting our football kits washed there

4. Elite Sports Complex pledges to maintain a fair women representation on the board and in the company at 30%. Thus, one coaching role and administrative position has been reserved solely for women.

With your support, it will help many people in the North Legon community and its surrounding areas in Ghana, Africa. Not only for their physical and health improvement but also to lift up their financial conditions.
