For my Momma's Cancer Treatment

2020 is a tough year. It brought the whole world natural disasters and the one affecting us the worst - COVID pandemic that cost a lot of lives, but to my family, our real battle has just begun.

My Mother Diagnosed with COLON ADENOCARCINOMA CANCER STAGE IV

It was in June when my mom started complaining about her stomach aching and bloating. We went to doctors and after sometime was diagnosed with just hyperacidity. Having a different gut feel, she opted to ask for another opinion. The doctor requested a whole abdomen ultrasound and CT SCAN.

Fast forward, after receiving the result of her CT Scan, we immediately went to her surgeon at De La Salle University Medical Center in Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. We were then advised to a Gastro specialist who then requested a colonoscopy. We also found out that her Hemoglobin level is way below the normal count and she needed to be confined for blood transfusion.

After all the ultrasounds, CT scan, colonoscopy, colon operation, and final biopsy, she was diagnosed with COLON ADENOCARCINOMA STAGE IV WITH LIVER, PERITONEAL, AND OMENTAL METASTASES.

Financial difficulties during COVID-19

We have been trying to make ends meet for her hospital bills since June. We are still admitted to DLSUMC and still need funds to settle the current bill and future expenses for oral and IV chemo sessions.

With me as the only one working for our little family, because my father is now retired, we already exhausted our savings, and she still needs further treatments.

Unfortunately, for most of us, we have been crippled by the pandemic, but a little help goes a long way. Her battle against cancer will continue through your help.
