We are joining forces to support the family of a beloved university colleague, as the infrastructure of her home has been seriously damaged by storms Amanda and Cristóbal, which affected a large part of El Salvador between May 31 and June 6th.

In addition, the wall that adjoins your home has begun to be washed away by storms, so there is a high possibility that it will wash into the adjacent stream.

El Salvador is on a red alert

Currently, El Salvador is on a red alert, as storm ETA is forecast to hit El Salvador in the first week of November, so the chances of a serious landslide being generated increase with each rain in the La Fosa Community, where our friend lives.

In addition, a good part of the infrastructure of our friend's home urgently needs restoration, since it is exposed to the elements, which has caused many of the materials in her home to be very rusty and damaged.

Unfortunately, the family of our beloved companion cannot afford such work, since her mother, who is solely responsible for the economic maintenance of the home, lost her source of income as a result of the pandemic generated by covid-19.
