Changing the Lives of Abandoned Pets

Hello,

My name is Mónica Naves, and together with my sister (Gaby) since 2016 we have had the opportunity to adopt street cats, mainly adults, sterilize them and give them a better quality of life. Some of them are cats that have had an owner, however, they have been left on the street for some reason.

Let's tackle the challenge of the overpopulation of pets without an owner in Mexico

We currently live in Mexico, in the State of Morelos, where the population of abandoned cats (and dogs) is enormous and many of them have terrible subsistence conditions.

The main problem we see on the streets is the overpopulation of pets without an owner, who fight for food and during periods of heat. Wandering, stealing and many times getting sick and dying.

Support us for sterilization, vaccines and food

For that reason, we are encouraged to request support from people who love animals, to be able to give care to those pets that require it, carrying out sterilization campaigns, food, vaccines, shelter and awareness of care and responsibility of having a pet.

As I mentioned at the beginning, we have been adopting street pets since 2016, we had 4 cats; Now in 2020, we have 11 pets: 9 cats and 2 dogs. 8 of them sterilized, only 3 are missing at the moment.

The help we ask is for: sterilization, vaccinations and food and to be able to give shelter to as many as possible. We already have a space without infrastructure.
