Help me go to one of the best universities in the world

Hello, my name is Luciana Ulloa, I live in México and I am 18 years old. I am a person committed to the community and passionate about social justice. I am a good student, graduated with a 9.1 grade point average on a scale of 1-10, and involved in multiple extracurricular activities. On top of that, I always work hard for what I want and don't stop until I get it, which is why I am writing this story. 

In February 2019, I received admission to one of the top 40 universities in the world, located in Vancouver, Canada. I worked very hard to be admitted to UBC, The University of British Columbia. Unfortunately, I was not able to get financial support, which I need in order to pay for it, given the high cost of university tuition for international students. 

My disappointment was great, I thought that was the end of it, until I started looking for options; I asked them to postpone my admission for a year, explaining my current economic situation, and the university accepted. My main intention was to ask for government support, but the coronavirus pandemic has made it extremely difficult for me to get that support. I want to be completely honest and transparent, so I will say that it is a tuition fee that costs 58,000 Canadian dollars a year, including accommodation. 

I decided that, with the support of my family and by working very hard while completing my studies, I was going to try to pay my tuition, but then I realized that I could not even complete it. 

For these reasons, I ask for help to pay for my studies. It has been and will be, an investment of almost two years of my time, effort, tears of frustration, and, at the same time, emotion, to be able to get to that university. That dream is not going to go away, because I know that I can achieve it with support. Studying at a university of this caliber will open many opportunities for me to achieve my professional goals, in addition to fulfilling my enormous desire to generate positive changes in society. 

My admission will be validated again in September 2021, so that's my deadline for fundraising. I want to be explicitly clear, and ensure that all money raised will go directly to pay for my college education. Personal expenses are my responsibility.
