Karla needs your support to study abroad!

Hello, my name is Karla Celada Guatemalan Soprano and I am 21 years old. I have been in music for over 10 years. I am currently specializing in the area of Music Education. In the last 5 years I have dedicated myself to the study of professional lyrical singing, participating in various groups and renowned productions at national and international level. I live in Guatemala City with my mother and brothers where I study and work full time. This year I received one of the best news in the midst of so much chaos. Due to the constant effort and many hours of study I managed to receive a scholarship to study abroad, a Bachelor of Vocal Art specialized in Lyrical Singing at a Russian University for 5 years.

There have been very difficult times and this pandemic greatly surprised us, affecting the economy of my family, in addition to an event that marked my life in a great way because unfortunately due to this virus I lost my grandfather, one of the most important people for me. This situation produced certain unforeseen expenses in the last months and my savings fund was used in its entirety. The reason for this fundraiser is to help me purchase my plane ticket which is priced at approximately $ 1950. And the scholarship does not cover this expense at all. The trip is scheduled to be at the end of January depending on the provisions of the country in relation to the Coronavirus. So I would be making the ticket purchase in the first weeks of January 2021.

With this money raised, I will be able to make this trip, fulfill this great dream of dedicating myself to what I like the most and more than anything, to be able to put the name of my country on high!

Education is the most important pillar to achieve change, our new generations need it and I want to prepare myself to be able to teach them ...
