"Raising funds for my husband's eye surgery"

It started with an unclear eyesight

Hi Everyone,!! My name is Joylyn Ulbata, 27 years old from Macarthur, Leyte, Philippines. Please allow me to give strength, hope and voice for my husband, Ronilo Ulbata, 28 years old.

My husband then, felt a cloudy vision last March 2019 which decided us to consult a private Opthalmologist doctor at Tacloban Divine Word Hospital in April 2019. The doctor said that he has a cataract on his right eye and needed a surgery. We then asked the doctor if how much is the total cost for his cataract surgery and sad to say it was that high amount and on that time we can't afford it. So, again we decided to go to a public Opthalmologist doctor at Tacloban EVRMC Hospital in April 2019 also and undergone some re-examination. After that, we known that it was at low cost for his cataract surgery and right after we decided his cataract surgery there. During his cataract surgery in May 27, 2019, were all hoping and praying that it should went well and done but sad to say after his surgery and follow-up check ups his doctor said that their is a problem.

The attending doctor referred us after the 2nd week of May 2019 to another doctor at a private hospital wherein we found out that his right eye (cornea) got damage due to wrong process of surgery and now he developed a corneal decompensation (Pseudophakic Bullous Keratopathy) or in short he needs a corneal transplant. After what we had found out, we didn't know already on what to do because we aren't financially stable.

He is now under medication since last year 2019 and taking up some maintenance up to this time for his right eye discomfort.

With the help of our family and relatives we have sustained his medical expenses but it's not enough for his upcoming surgery called corneal transplant on his right eye and cataract surgery on his left eye (developing cataract affected from the right eye).

We ask for help, so I can sustain his medical treatment and medical expenses at Cebu Doctors University Hospital at Cebu, City after this pandemic called Covid-19.
