Please help me continue studying to have a better future

Hello!

I am Annika and I'm an incoming 8th grader this school year 2021-2022. My mother and I are from the Philippines and we have been greatly affected by the pandemic.

Things are really hard financially for my family because of the pandemic

Last year, my mother (who is our primary breadwinner) lost her job because of the lockdowns and quarantine. My grandfather isn't able to work anymore because he is already a senior citizen. Whatever savings my mother had last year all went to our daily needs and bills like rent and electricity.

Things are really hard financially for us. My mother was able to find work last January but what she is earning is not enough for our daily needs, my asthma medications and bills (rent and electricity). She is always in a panic whenever rent is due and gets sick because she sacrifices not eating so me and my grandparents are fed.

Please support my school enrollment this year

School enrollment is just around the corner and I am worried that I might not be able to continue. Money is really tight right now, whatever money my mother has goes to rent, food, and medicine for me and my grandmother. I want to continue going to school so I could fulfill my dreams of becoming a lawyer in the future. I want to give my mother and family the kind of life where they would not worry about money or if we still have food on our table.

I am a straight As and honor student since my grade school days. I was able to maintain good grades. I really tried my best in all my school works despite the pressure of online classes and unstable internet connection. I want to show my family and the people who have helped us that I am dedicated in doing good in school.

If there's anyone who is willing to help me and my mom with our project, we will be forever grateful to you. My mama told me education is the only thing she can leave me in this world. We don't have many material possessions but she wants to provide me with good quality education. Any amount that you send will be put to use for my school tuition, books, and other resources for online classes (repair or upgrade of our old laptop and if possible a drawing tablet for digital art) and mobile data.

Your help will not go to waste. I promise to do well in school and strive harder, knowing that there are people who put their faith in me to do well. Thank you very much.
