Please help bring Christian, our kitty-son, home to us.

Hello wonderful friends, my name is Marijke Lamont and I am the proud mommy of our beautiful fur-child, Christian. Christian is a rescue who I adopted from the rehab in Thailand where I was working at the time. He was a tiny kitten who was sleeping in the trees and it broke my heart seeing him being tormented by the dogs that would wander onto the property. It was love at first sight and, without a second thought, I wrapped him in my arms and promised him that he would be safe with us. Our clients named him Christian after a former client who sadly passed away from a relapse. His memory was honored through this tiny little kitten who somehow managed to survive in spite of the odds he was born into.  

I returned back to South Africa, from Thailand, when CoVID peaked all over the world. Unfortunately I could not bring my fur-son with me as I was in lockdown in a hotel in Bangkok waiting for a repatriation flight back to South Africa. In addition to this, the repatriation flight did not allow pets to be repatriated back home with us.

A kind friend offered to help me look after Christian until I was able to return to Thailand, but sadly he is no longer in a position to take care of our precious boy. Due to Thailand’s current lockdown restrictions, my return to beautiful Thailand is slowly slipping away and I now need to start the process of bringing our kitty to South Africa. Fortunately flights into South African have resumed and we can move ahead with being reunited with Christian.

As with most things, this does cost money. Like many other people all over the world, I lost my job and have been battling to raise the funds I need for Christian's travel arrangement. However, I have fortunately already had Christian spayed, microchipped and all of his vaccinations are up to date. The biggest hurdle now is raising the USD $1300 I will need to have him safely returned to us. The cost of the rabies tests and follow up / pre-travel injections, as well as his stay at the airport and the flights are all rather expensive. Friends, I am now desperately asking asking you for any kind of help, please? The funds collected will all go to Christian’s safe return to us. It is a very daunting task but one which I believe in my heart can be achieved.

I will be forever grateful for any help I will receive from you in getting our darling kitty safely back home to us.
