Let's help together a shelter for homeless animals! Do good

    Hey. My name is Elena and I am from Russia. I have been helping this shelter for many years, I follow its activities, I know about its successes and failures. And I really respect these people who selflessly rush to help abandoned animals. They are doing a real good deed!  

    In Russia, animal shelters have a particularly difficult time because they receive no support from either the state or local authorities. They exist solely on donations.  

    But in the context of a pandemic, the Russian authorities do not provide their citizens with practically any financial assistance, and donations to shelters have decreased to a critical level. And now, during the second wave, the state has completely left us alone with problems, and we can no longer help "Lakshmi" to the same extent as before.  

    Shelter "Lakshmi" was created in the city of Samara on the big beautiful Volga river. It was created by very kind people who, in the concrete, daily rescue from the streets, treat, sterilize and attach homeless animals. Now the shelter is overcrowded, donations are very low. And ahead of the New Year holidays, and the receipts to the shelter have decreased even more. It is necessary to purchase food and medicines for animals for the most difficult period for the shelter, it is necessary to purchase new bedding for the enclosures, firewood and fuel briquettes to heat the shelter in severe winter frosts. The creators of the shelter invest their last personal money in its maintenance, but they are not millionaires, not rich, their funds are not enough, alas!  

    Now more than 150 animals have found their home and shelter in the shelter. And each of them needs to be provided with food, drink, cat litter and maintenance every day!  

    The shelter employs people who love animals and really care for them every day. Every day they cook and distribute food to animals, try to take the dogs for a walk so that they can run free, clean in dog enclosures and a cat's house, give medicine to those animals that are sick and do many other important and useful things.  

    Shelter "Lakshmi" has a harder time than other shelters because it is located outside the city limits and a year ago the access road to the shelter fell into disrepair. Few of the sympathetic people can go there and bring some kind of help - food, cat litter, mats for animals or household supplies.  

    "Lakshmi" over the past year has replaced all the kennels for dogs, as the old ones fell into disrepair. Repaired and insulated the cat's house. He took into his care 11 more cats and 15 dogs.   

    Now we have severe frosts, they reach minus twenty five degrees, and a lot of money is spent on heating the shelter, because there is no central heating in it, and the heat in the shelter is created only by firewood and special fuel briquettes.  

    It is very important, incredibly important to collect the required amount by December 25th. Closer to the New Year, suppliers will close for the weekend, and will not work for another week after the new year. It will be simply impossible to buy what you need. That is why it is so important to do it now, as soon as possible! The hope of the shelter is only you and me, not indifferent, sympathetic people, ready to selflessly do good.  

    And I believe that doing good deeds is very important in our world with you! By doing good, we change our world for the better; by doing good, we fill our life with meaning.
