Nursing Home at Home

Hello everyone,

My name is Lucy de Jesus Bautista, former OFW. I recently left China and arrived in the Philippines on August 3, 2020.

When I arrived in the Philippines, I was quarantined for 14 days.

Mother, seven years ago

The first person I miss so much is my mother. Seven years ago, we celebrated her 71st birthday in 2013, she was fat and talkative.

After isolation, I went to my sister's house and visited my mother and her family. My heart is broken. I stared at her, crying in my heart, I couldn't move. I have embraced her and kissed her. Her appearance surprised me. She is very skinny and never remembers me. My heart melted, completely broken.

With my experience as elderly caregiver in Israel, I created a "Nursing Home at Home"

From 1999 to 2005, I worked as an elderly caregiver in Israel. I found this job to be an interesting and enjoyable job for seniors and now that I'm home, I will be taking care of my own mother. Living with my mother every day is an adventure to know and learn more about her behavior. I found myself experimenting with everything including her food, time, likes, and dislikes. My aim is to give her the best care I could give and sacrifice my life for her.

I just want to create a "Nursing Home at Home". I also want to teach others how to encourage us to support our parents at home. My mother sometimes thinks of my deceased father, who died on January 4, 2004.

Four months later, mother became very happy

During the pandemic, the best place for the elderly is our home, with our personal love, care, time, and help, living and protecting them at home. They need to live happily. This is why I created this project to help and support my mom at home.

Four months later, my mother became very happy, and I started to see the joy on her face. She even calls me mama.

I found Airfunding online, and I want to try their platform to learn more about how they can help me and my mother at home. I will be teaching online on how we can take care of our senior citizens in the comfort of our home.

From this project, I need at least $1,500 to start a nursing home at home.
