Save Pandora from FIP.

To be honest, I was never a cat person but Pandora changed my heart. She was supposed to be thrown out but I decided to keep her. I've only had her for 6 months and she made a huge impact in my life already. I am lucky to have her as my constant source of love and happiness especially during this tough and challenging year. (2020)

My baby has always been adorable, loving, sweet and a happy kitty.  However, these past few weeks, I have noticed that she isn't very active, she won't eat well and she's asleep most of the time so we decided to take her to the Vet.

Upon several clinic visits and tests, she was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). We were told that her condition was extremely fatal and that there is no cure. The only thing we can do is to provide her with her needs till she crosses the rainbow bridge.

The pain was unexplicable.. I cried for days and wouldn't want to leave my kitty's side. I was in denial that she will be taken away from me so soon that I ended up researching about FIP and then joined several support groups to help me cope and understand her condition.

That is when I learned about BASMI FIP and GS-441524 - an anti-viral drug that is being researched on and can actually save cats like Pandora but it comes at a major cost.

One vial costs P 5, 298.79 and the recommended length of treatment is 84 days. In this case, Pandora needs at least 4 vials based on the initial computation made by BASMI's authorized representative tho this might change depending on Pandora's response to the treatment.

With this new information, I know I can't give up the fight yet however, I cannot solely shoulder the expenses for her treatment.. luckily BASMI FIP created the BASMI Care program which allows cat owners to create crowdsourcing donation campaigns to raise funds for FIP treament purposes.

If we can raise enough money to buy 1 vial (P 5, 298.79), BASMI FIP would provide 1 extra vial for free.

I am humbly turning to you to please consider helping Pandora. She has given me so much joy in our short time together. Anything helps. Any small amount that you are able to contribute, will help save Pandora, and as her Mom - I would be forever grateful.
