Help Me Build A Waste Bank

Hello all,

My name is Cecep Haenudin from Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia. I live near a river and it has become a habit for people here to throw garbage on the riverbank in the hope that the tide will be carried away. Of course throwing garbage into the river is not good, we do it because there are no landfills or garbage trucks passing through our area.

To solve this problem, we want to rebuild the waste bank so that we will buy all types of household waste that are different from the previous concept of the waste bank which was stopped because only buying trash that can be resold and the rest of the waste remains disposed of to the riverbank.

The new waste bank concept prioritizes organic waste processing because more than 60% of existing waste is in the form of organic waste, only 20% can be resold and the rest is waste that cannot be utilized at all.

1. Buy a trash bag.Each house will be given 2 free trash bags and in our area there are about 150 houses. The giving of free garbage bags is an encouragement and education for residents so that they can divide which waste is organic and non-organic and to make it easier to process waste in the future.

2. Build a BSF (black soldier fly) farm Building a BSF farm aims so that organic waste can be processed easily and the result is mangots that can be sold.

3. Farm hydroponicsBuilding a hydroponic farm as a means of education for the community and hydroponic harvests can be used as gifts or as a means of exchange with residents' trash that is sold to our waste bank
