Necesitamos de tu ayuda

Es, para mí, muy doloroso informar que mi mamá y mi abuelito se encuentran en un estado de salud muy delicado debido al COVID-19. 

Esta enfermedad ha golpeado de maneras inimaginables a la mayoría de nosotros y aunque la salud de mi abuelito y mi mamá es algo que me preocupa diariamente, también lo es mi situación económica. Debido a la escasez de camas e insumos médicos en hospitales del Estado, sumado a un diagnóstico de hipertensión que agravaba el estado de salud de mi mamá, decidí llevarla al Hospital Luis Vernaza donde las únicas camas disponibles estaban en pensionado, entró por emergencias el 13 de enero del 2021 debido a que le era imposible respirar por si sola. 

La recibieron como paciente privado, por lo tanto debo asumir todos sus gastos médicos, el IESS ha negado responsabilizarse de su cuenta ya que un mes antes, mi mamá habría contratado un seguro privado, el cual me exige pagar un deducible, no reembolsable, de $5000 antes de gozar su cobertura. 

He tenido que pagar este deducible desde el primer día que entró al hospital,  abonando como mínimo $700 diarios a su cuenta. Han sido varios días que no he podido cubrir esta deuda, porque me he visto muy limitada de recursos ya que, simultáneamente, debo colaborar con las cuentas de mi abuelito, también infectado con covid, las cuales van de $300 diarios en adelante. 

Es por la necesidad de pagar lo más pronto posible el deducible para que mi mamá pueda seguir contando con ayuda médica y apoyar a mi abuelito económicamente, lo que me impulsa a pedir la colaboración todos mis amigos, familiares, conocidos y cualquier otra persona que quiera sumarse.

It is, for me, very painful to report that my mother and grandfather are in a very delicate state of health due to COVID-19.

This disease has hit most of us in unimaginable ways and although the health of my grandfather and mother is something that concerns me daily, so is my financial situation. 

Due to the shortage of beds and medical supplies in state hospitals, coupled with a diagnosis of hypertension that aggravated my mother’s health condition, I decided to take her to Luis Vernaza Hospital where the only available beds were in pensioner, entered by emergency on January 13, 2021 because she was unable to breathe on her own.

They received her as a private patient, therefore I must assume all his medical expenses, the IESS has denied responsibility for his account since a month before, my mom would have hired a private insurance, which requires me to pay a deductible, Non-refundable, $5000 before your coverage.I have had to pay this deductible from the first day you entered the hospital, paying at least $700 a day to your account.

It has been several days that I have not been able to cover this debt, because I have seen very limited resources since, simultaneously, I must collaborate with the accounts of my grandfather, also infected with covid, which range from $300 daily onwards. 

It is because of the need to pay the deductible as soon as possible so that my mom can continue to have medical help and support my grandfather financially, which impels me to ask for the collaboration of all my friends, family, acquaintances and anyone else who wants to join.My family and I thank you infinitely for spreading, donating or for your prayers, any contribution is well received and will be of great help so that both can recover soon.
