An Opportunity for Gianna

Hello, my name is Gianna Ramírez Martínez, I am from Chihuahua, Mexico. I was born on September 2, 2020, I am 4 months old and I suffer from a disease called Teratology Failure, a birth defect that affects normal flow of blood through the heart. It occurs when the baby's heart is not formed correctly while it grows and develops in the womb during pregnancy.

My parents have to be very attentive to me, because I may be short of breath.

You may wonder, is there any treatment? Well, if it can be treated by surgery shortly after the baby is born. During surgery, doctors will widen or replace the pulmonary valve and enlarge the outlet to the pulmonary artery. They will also place a patch over the VSD to close the hole between the two lower chambers of the heart. These measures will improve blood flow to the lungs and the rest of the body.

That is why I am asking for your support, to be able to operate my little heart. The total of my operation is around $ 600 thousand Mexican pesos, and the procedure will be done in my city. The operation I have to do as soon as possible, because the more I grow, the worse for me. After this operation, I will have a healthy and active life.
