Knitted doll to accompany in different diseases.

Hello Everyone! My name is Claudia. I was diagnosed with Pulmonary   Hypertension, a   very strange orphan disease. Sometimes, to suffer from a disease like this makes me feel alone and hopeless to continue because the path is unknown and hard. For that reason, I designed this penguin   using the crochet technique.   The penguin is called   “amigurumi” and it is handmade.

This   penguin is the representation of the possibility to adapt to the changes of life and keep going no matter the challenges.

I chose the penguins because I saw in them courage   to renounce to fly and adapt to swim, this being a lesson in how to react to changes that we often need to put into practice.

Our designs are inspired in the colored Awareness ribbons. These ribbons are designed to create public awareness of health, medical conditions, disability, and other issues. Each color has a different meaning, so our idea is that the penguin represents that awareness with the color.
