Urgent radiotherapy for Marleny

Hello! My name is Erick Rubio and I am here on behalf of Marleny Blanco, sister of my dear friends Ramon and Alexander Blanco.

Marleny is going through a complicated health situation at the moment and I would like to leave you here message below:

My name is Marleny María Blanco, I am 49 years old and I am from Caracas, Venezuela. I have a beautiful 9-year-old daughter, and I love to share with her in all her artistic activities (ballet, singing, among others). I struggle every day to be by her side and support her to achieve all her goals.

Now that I have told you a little about myself, I will be brief about my plea for support. Approximately at the beginning of January, I was diagnosed with a tumor in the neck of my head, called squamous cell carcinoma. The first medical indication I have been given is to act as soon as possible, with chemo and radiotherapy treatment in parallel. 

Fortunately the chemo is almost assured in a public hospital, but as many know, my country, Venezuela, presents a total collapse in the hospital part. There is no possibility of radiotherapies in any hospital, so I have to do it in a private clinic and I have to raise the money since it is very expensive. 

My urgency is because I must receive both treatments at the same time in order to restore my health. I have come to this medium to ask for your help since I do not have the economic resources to pay for such treatment and in such a short time. I am a hairdresser, currently unemployed, and now even less so given the COVID-19 situation and the current illness. 

I ask for your great and valuable collaboration, and I will thank you with my heart and the will to live that I have for me, my daughter, and those who need me. Whatever you can and wish for my radiotherapy treatment which is 5 weekly sessions with Saturday and Sunday rest for 6 weeks. I am a woman very fanatic of sport and good health and nowadays I make an even greater effort to exercise my body in order to progress during this illness.

For the treatments mentioned by Marleny in her message, approximately $10,000 is required, therefore, as the different $1,500 campaigns are achieved, we will create a new one, identifying it as the second, third and so on.
