Our first major short film

We are a Mexican group of audiovisual production students, close to finishing their degree, and we aspire to be able to create quality projects that can tell stories about life and the world in which we live. Our starting point, and for what we need your help, is to create the first independent short film from our educational institution.

Our short film project, Tumbas de Cal, tells us about Diana, a woman who discovers something terrible about her husband and her family and is unable to accept that reality. The short film is about the terrible stories that occur within those 4 walls that for everyone should be a home, but that for many are not. A story about the abuse that is not about the perpetrator or the victim, if not, about the person who could do something about it and does not. 

Tumbas de Cal is a story that needs to be told to remind ourselves and our viewers that these abuses are out there, and that turning our backs on victims only perpetuates the abuse they suffer. Not to forget them, so they know that we recognize their pain. And so that we all know to accept that painful situations exist. That recognizing them is the first step to doing something about it. Given the global situation caused by the pandemic, and even more so as we are a small group of volunteers who want to introduce themselves to the world of cinema, resources are limited. The appropriate technical team is something we do not have and with your support, we could get enough resources to have it at the end of March of this year 2021 and be able to produce our project shortly after.

The money raised will be used to cover the cost of the necessary technical equipment, give a decent payment to the actors and actresses for their work and maintain a good atmosphere with everyone within this great team that we continue to build.

We have a story and something to say, we just need the funds to prove it, and we hope this short film is our starting point.
