Renovating 36 houses for elderly persons before winter.

Hello everyone,

I am Maliehe Mosepele from Lesotho in Africa. A Founder and Executive Director of Mosepele Foundation Development Forum. I am also a Civil and Human Rights Activist.

In Lesotho, elderly persons rights are violated

In Lesotho, elderly persons rights are violated, they are accused of witchcraft, they get raped and brutally murdered. They don't have adequate shelter as they live with grandchildren in the houses with broken windows, cracked walls, broken doors, broken door locks if any and rusty roofing with holes enabling rain heavy rains and snow penetration. No heaters to keep them warm and winter season is their worst nightmare as it claims their lives more especially in the mountains.

Support me to renovate 36 houses for elderly persons in Lesotho

I need $1500 or more since my target is to renovate 36 houses for elderly persons in Lesotho. I will be able to buy all needed materials to fix or replace broken parts of houses. I will be able to recruit volunteers to help me with the work.

Work schedule

I need the funds to start working on this project mid-April 2021 to Mid May 2021 before it gets very cold. Part of funds will be used for transport and food for volunteers who will be helping to fix the houses.

I raise these funds through my 4th Power Hiking Expedition 2021 whereby I will be hiking the circumference of Lesotho covering 1070 km, 350hrs and 35 days. My hiking expedition starts from 1st March 2021 to the 4th April 2021.
