Hi everyone,

My name is Koyame, I’m 19 and yeah...I am homeless.

I am a visual director and a stylist, but ...

Besides letting the title of being homeless define who I am. I am a visual director, an online thrift store owner (can’t own shit when you homeless though lmao) as well as a stylist. Its been about 6 months of non-stop moving in and out of friends houses and just feeling so much abandonment, trauma and loss.

I lost my apartment last year during the whole COVID thing and In the loss of it I could no longer continue selling clothes or going for shoots.

I just can't go home, due to my identity

I tried going back home but its really difficult being Queer for a lot of black kids in SA. My uncle kicked me out for the second time, once 2 years ago and second time just 3 weeks ago.

Home is generally abusive and I expressed this when I appeared on national TV a year ago. So my abusive uncle kicked me out again but that’s okay. I guess I’m just tired of not living up to my potential, tired of moving from house to house every month or week, at some point I had to sleep in the streets.

I just wanna feel seen and get support and love. I don’t enjoy being victim hence I prolonged this for so long but I am so tired of just barely surviving each month and hardly being able to even confide in my friends because that makes them feel shittier cause they can’t even help me out you know :/.

I could afford a cheap place to stay with your support

I’ll be using the funds to get a cheap place in town that can sustain me for a few months as well as trying to kick start my thrift business so i can keep going on without actually reaching for more help.

This would really help a lot and make a huge difference in my life.
