An Urgent Appeal for Help for My Mom's Medical Needs

Hello everyone,

My mom, Lenny, is 75 years old and she is currently in the hospital in the province of Bulacan in the Philippines for sepsis secondary to Covid-19, pneumonia, and gangrene diabetic foot. Doctors are advising for her toes or foot to be amputated to prevent further infection.

Her family are very thankful that she was finally admitted to a hospital, because there is currently a shortage of hospital rooms especially for COVID patients.

Due to the complexity of her situation and her comorbidities, it's taking a while for her to fully recover. At the moment, she is not fully responding and she can't seem to see and has difficulty hearing.

Please support us to give her the proper treatment she needs

We fervently wish that our mom's health will improve and we would like to give her the proper treatment she needs. She has never been sick this badly before and it's been traumatizing for her. We are also starting to feel the pinch of the rising medical costs and we would like to appeal to your kind and generous hearts for a bit of assistance in easing this burden.

We have been given notice for the partial payment of 130,000 PhP, minus doctor's fees and medicines (including IV's, oxygen, antibiotics, etc). She is being given Resdemsivir, for the past several days now for her Covid treatment. She is also being treated with a cocktail of antibiotics and steroids. We still are facing the prospect of surgery for her foot amputation.

I am a single mom of two children and we are trying our best to pool in resources for mounting medical bills but it's starting to take a toll on us. We would be really grateful for any help, as well as prayers for healing, which we would use to add to her hospital bills, as well as surgery and medical needs, all of which need to be taken care of urgently.
