Orthopedic surgery for Toby

Toby is a very tender, hyperactive, and loving 7-year-old Chihuahua. He has been suffering from a herniated disc for a few years, however, the vitamins and medicines we bought him, it was enough for him to lead a normal life. Unfortunately, a few months ago his problem has been getting worse and he suffers from a lot of pain, so he went from being a happy and playful doggy to spinning around and screaming in pain.

We love him too much and we have always tried to make him as happy as possible. Initially, since the surgery is quite invasive, we tried all kinds of alternative treatments (homeopathic medicines, acupuncture, moxibustion, and even recently he had gold ions implanted to take away the pain), but nothing has been enough to relieve his pain. Currently, the only medication that relieves him is carprofen, but it is a very strong medication and since we have to give it to him daily, his internal organs are being affected.

We have tried everything and spent the money we had and even the money we didn't have (as we are still paying). Now, his only alternative is to have orthopedic surgery which has a cost of $3,000,000 (in Colombian pesos, which is approx. 800 USD) to solve his spine problem and with it remove the pain definitively.

The sooner we can raise enough money for the surgery, the fewer medications that affect his organs Toby will have to consume and the sooner his pain will be relieved.

The money raised will be invested entirely in Toby, his treatment and recovery.
