2021/1442 Udhiyah-Qurbani for orphans, widows, disabled and elderly people

Hello everyone,

Don't you know that a poor widow mother awaits for Eid Al-Adha not just to be happy, but in the hope that she will receive a portion of meat from a Qurbani. She hopes that her orphan children will finally receive some meat after weeks or months of waiting. Join us in bringing happiness to the heart of this mother and her children and to the hearts of many poor and needy people in the poorest communities of Uganda.

Qurbani Distribution in Uganda

Uganda is in the East of Africa with about a total population of 40 million people, of which 12% are muslims and most of whom have no clear income source thus have low access to meat under normal circumstance. Meat being considered a luxury and being eaten on very rare occasions.

What is Qurbani?

Qurbani is a religious act of animal sacrifice on the day of Eid-ul-Adha as an offering to Allah (SWT) as practiced by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim's (AS) act. This campaign will help in increasing the hope of many needy families, orphans, elderly and disabled people of eating meat on such a big feast.

As Allah (SWT) says in Surah Hajj: “It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah; it is your piety that reaches Him. Thus, He has subjected these animals to you so that you may glorify Allah for giving you guidance, and O’ Prophet, give good news to those who do good to others.” (Quran - 22:37)
