Need funds to turn children's Covid-19 views into comics

My name is Katula Cranimmer, I am a visual artist and a citizen of Uganda, a country considered to be a literature desert with very low appreciation for the arts, visual or otherwise. I started a small startup at the close of 2018 called Reminac Studios enterprises Ltd consisting of Reminac Comics and Reminac TV to combat this wide spread narrative.

I live in the outskirts of Kampala city next to a community school where I interact with lots of disadvantaged children and teach them creative skills from creative writing to visual and performing arts.

With the covid 19 virus on the rampage, children have had to endure a lot of unimaginable experiences that have forever changed their understanding of the world. My goal is to have them record their experiences as stories and turn them into comic books that can be read by all people all over the world for free on our website, www.reminaccomics.com and other platforms for inspiration, educational purposes and also generate income or donations for the young authors to inspire more children to express their emotions and experiences through writing and other creative arts.

I need the funding to facilitate me and my small team to reach out to different children from different walks of life, share with them the therauputic advantages of sharing experiences, what they need or want to write about and collect their stories when finished, select stories to turn into comic books and then hire a team of illustrators to turn them into the most visually compelling comic books that will educate and inspire many other children to share their own experiences for all the people it can help for sharing is therapeutic.

I will need the funds by 2nd August 2021. In the meantime we are identifying children from all walks of life to form the sample space for this project and the best illustrators to bring their stories to life.

I am going to use the funds to facilitate my team to teach the identified children from different places the basics of story writing and to collect the stories written their after. 

I am also going to offer compensation to children whose stories are selected, in form of writing materials and art products such as stationary, art products and publicity on all social media platforms plus authorship credit.

And mostly, a lot of the funding is going to go into paying illustrators to turn the best stories into high quality graphics comic books and marketing the stories and the young authors all over social media in hopes that their stories and comics books made from them make a difference and attract lucrative opportunities for them that will inspire other children.

 This is an example of how captivating comic book art is to children and an example of the finished comic books from the project will look in hard copy format.
