My name is Khairi, now living in state of Terengganu, Malaysia and this is my story and campaign.

A dream to build house with family in the village.

Living close to family is important because you can spend time together and take care each other if someone in your family have problem or sick. My project is to build house for my parent in the village, at Dungun Terengganu as their wish. We have land that inherited from our late grandparent.

Our situation

Now my parent are suffering from various diseases especially diabetes and high blood pressure. There was an unforgettable day in March 2019, when my father suffer minor stroke. But now, thanks to God he got recover and be able to walk again. They wish to stay in village for the rest of time.

For that big reason, I wish to make a happy memory with them and hope we can count on you guys a lot of support to make this dream come true. We are asking for your help because we are struggle in finance but enough to survive day by day.

Project plan

To build a nice house need a lot of works and budget. Building a house for under $20,000 USD is difficult, but not impossible. It mostly depends on location, regulations, labor and materials. My plan is to build house for 1,000 square feet, with 3 bedrooms and 2 toilets.

We target to raise fund $10,000 USD. So we'll be using our saving cash RM 50,000 + crowdfunding goal RM 42,000 ($10,000 USD) to build the house.

This fundraising starts in July 2021 and is estimated to end until the fund is completed.

The construction begins on January 2022 according to situation of Covid in Malaysia and the lockdown.

Estimated cost

However, many variables are involved in the final cost of building a house, and it may seem difficult to estimate. The average cost building a new house in Malaysia would cost you around RM 200,000 to RM 350,000 on average – excluding the price of the land it stands on. It costs a pretty penny. Our fund goal $10,000 USD equal to RM 42,000 + saving cash RM 50,000 = RM 82,000 is enough for us as we will try our best way to complete the house.
