I wondered so long how to make it, it suddenly hit me now

It suddenly hit me that I might find people, even those I don't know, who can support me to carry on with my studies. 

Hi! My name is Halima. I've been born and raised by a middle-class family in a rural area in the south of Morocco. I am the seventh sibling of 7 children in my family. 

My dad used to work in the construction business, which helped him raise our big family with the basics at least. He never approved of letting me pursue my education because he didn't want extra financial responsibility. However, I always fought so hard for my education and my mom did the best she could for me. 

At first, I did not need much to get by. I studied so hard to get government scholarships that helped me throughout my journey. The first real financial crisis that hit me was so strong it caused me to let go of a dream I sacrificed so much for.

I received admission to study a master's program in translation in one of the most privileged schools in Morocco. I made it through the entrance exam but didn't make it through my financial barriers. I hardly spent two months at school with rent due every month and living expenses in a big city, I dropped out. 

My dad who was responsible for this part said it loud and clear (I can't take care of you anymore. Please don't ask me for money anymore). It hit me so hard that every dream I had crashed like eggshells in front of me. It's been a year now since then but it never gets old inside of me. 

Now, I have many opportunities ahead of me. But none of them are accessible because of the finances. Because of my inability to fund my master's education, my will has weakened extremely. I can't even afford to go through the steps of admission even if I got one let alone what comes next. 

I've been looking for scholarship opportunities but I am in desperate need of funds to pay for the expenses. I did apply for one and got admission but I am so scared the defeat would make an appearance again in my life because I can't afford to fund my education.   

One might ask why is it worth all this? I might have other things to do in life right? 

It feels like a pity to say that I have no choice! As soon as I decide to let go, my dad will start accepting marriage proposals from people that I don't even know. I can't take that for a fact because of all that I have been through to get this far. 

A lot of pieces are inevitably lost in my story as you know it from these words. I wish I could give more details to give the full image. But for now, this is all I can say.
