Help me to modernize this classroom for the little ones.

Hi,

My name is Brin and I’m a semi retired primary school teacher. In my local village in Obosomase which is in Ghana, the village children attend their local government school. Because of a lack of funding, the school is desperately in need of modernization.

At the moment, I am focused on the youngest group age 4-5 years. These children learn in cramped conditions as around 40 kids are in this class using old fashioned furniture like hard, dark wooden tables, blackboard and they cannot even afford electricity so many have not experienced using a computer let alone seeing one.

If I could get help to brighten the space the funds would paint the walls, buy cheerful, modern, child friendly tables and a whiteboard to begin with. I believe it will change their whole learning experience and encourage them to do their best.

The funds are needed now whilst the children are on summer holiday as this is a perfect time for the classroom to be refurbished.
