Identity VerifiedFor the past few years, my mom has had osteoarthritis of the hip, which has caused her to lose mobility, and daily actions such as sitting, walking, or bathing cause her severe pain, also running the risk of falling and hurting herself.
I decided to bring her from Mexico to Ecuador to have the operation here and to be able to take care of her and accompany her during her recovery. Because of her age, insurance companies no longer offer her coverage, so I have to assume the cost.
The operation costs about $9000, of which I will be able to pay about $6000 but I need help to be able to cover the rest, plus medication, nurse and rehabilitation.
Despite the pain, my mom is excited to regain mobility and has maintained a strength of spirit and a zest for life that touches me and gives me the strength to do whatever it takes to bring her back to quality of life.
