Fundraising for underprivileged/families affected by COVID-19 in Malaysia

Hello everyone,

#BenderaPutih began as a response to rising suicides linked to economic hardships caused by the pandemic. It is a Malaysian self-initiative to assist those in need.

This movement does not mean admitting defeat or failing, instead it is an epitome of hope for the ones seeking for help without having to struggle alone.

We are raising funds to purchase food and essentials for families in Malaysia who have reached their breaking point under #BenderaPutih. Breadwinners are unable to work, and without an income, they are unable to feed their families.

We will be working with Pertiwi Soup Kitchen, a project that was established and managed by Pertubuhan Tindakan Wanita Islam (PERTIWI) one of Malaysia’s longest running NGOs, with the support of corporate and individual sponsors to provide regular meals at various locations around Kuala Lumpur on a regular basis. PERTIWI Soup Kitchen provides a humanitarian food-aid service to the homeless and hard-core poor irrespective of race or religion. Helping one person might not change the whole world but it could change the world for one person.

100% of the donation will be donated to Pertiwi Soup Kitchen to restock their food supplies as well as daily needs so they will be able to provide daily necessities to those families in need.
