Good & Faithful Servant, Alvin, Till We Meet Again

Hi!

I am Kristel Villanueva 29 years old, from Silang, Cavite Philippines. Happily married with John Alvin Villanueva, 31 years old, Filipino. He was born asthmatic but it was controllable with proper medication.

He was diagnosed with Acute Respiratory Failure after a severe asthma attack

On July 23,2021, he was rushed to the hospital due to severe asthma attack. He was given CPR as his heart stopped and lost oxygen in his brain. Thankfully, he was revived and being monitored in the ICU at Qualimed Sta. Rosa Laguna, Philippines.

He was diagnosed with Acute Respiratory Failure type 2 sec to Status Asthmaticus s/p CP Arrest, Hypoxic Encephalopathy AKI Multifactorial (Ischemic, hypoxic) s/p IJ Insertion s/p Tracheostomy . He’s in Glasglow Coma Scale 3 which means he's totally unresponsive and dependent on the ventilator machine to help him breathe.

He had to undergo hemodialysis since his kidney also failed as multiorgan dysfunction started his body to weaken. Doctors have been telling me/us that if he survives, he'd still be in a vegetative state. But as we believe and entrust everything to God. We, John Alvin's family, chose to focus on God, not on the circumstance. HE is our great healer and provider.

As what the bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. My husband didn't grow up in riches but he was well-mannered and loved by his family. Despite the incapability of his parents to send him to college, it didn't hinder him to learn automotive in Balubad Working Hands Cavite Philippines and was able to work in Saudi Arabia for 10 years.

Working there for long was not easy, but his passion to serve the Lord made him at peace even when he's far from his family. People loved him so much because of his positivity, kindness, and love for God. He’s active in his church music ministry. Even while working, he continued to make disciples and win souls.

It was a great fight, my love

Due to his critical condition, he never woke up. After a month my husband passed away and join the kingdom of our Lord. It was a great fight "mahal ko" (my love). I'm longing for you and it's still hard believe that you're gone but I know that battle belongs to the Lord.

Please help us to settle the hospital bill left

We're knocking on your generous hearts and asking financial support since there's still unsettled hospital bill left. It's really beyond our family's financial capacity to pay this amount until December of 2021 since it's around $26,000 USD.
