GIVE LIFE-CHANGING EDUCATION TO LOW-INCOME REFUGEE CHILDREN!

Hi everyone!

My name is Hyunbae, the crowdfunding coordinator for various UNHCR-registered refugee schools and communities around Malaysia, and I have excellent news!

After months of planning: We will FINALLY launch a new learning center to provide LIFE-CHANGING primary and secondary education for low-income, young, refugee children.

Our learning center: LIGHT OF THE WORLD COMMUNITY CENTER MALAYSIA

LIGHT OF THE WORLD COMMUNITY CENTER MALAYSIA, will provide quality education to those who need it most! In Malaysia, children who do not go to school must work in labor jobs to provide for their families. An education therefore can FOREVER change the lives of ENTIRE refugee communities for the better. With an education, children can get well-paying jobs and uplift their communities. In turn, help other refugee students afford school.

BUT we need YOUR help!

To change the lives of so many refugee children by putting them in school, we need funds for transportation to our school, school stationery, and school fees. Many students are living in extremely difficult situations with health emergencies. Funding can help solve these issues.

Money needed to fund 1 child for a month of education:

Transportation Rm 150 (35 USD)

School Fee Rm 200 (47 USD)

Stationary Rm 50 (12 USD)

Other fees Rm 50 (12 USD)

Total Rm 450 (107 USD)

That being said, ANY donations will be enormously appreciated and will be DIRECTLY used to support the children's education.

Light of the World Community Centre Malaysia was formed in January 2015 by Pastor Arshad M. Khokhar. We are a non-governmental organization with the goal of transforming the lives of those who are living below the poverty line and are in trouble because of their poor conditions of having no job, asylum seeker status, with no access to education or nutrition. Light of the World builds up those children through systematic study courses to help children understand their goals in life.

As they are in a difficult situation in other countries. We have the desire to build good personalities through an Oxford education. Light of the World Community Centre Malaysia is serving the nations on humanitarian grounds. We would like to uplift their life and see them healthy and skilful. We will motivate them regardless of race or ethnicity and provide good counselling.

About Us:

Who we are:

We are a Refugee Community of teachers, trainers, guides and organisers. We teach students to cope with the demands of the modern and scientific world. We train people to tackle the ups and downs of society and life and how to thrive in adverse conditions.

Content:

In Malaysia, we are without education, employment and all of the basic needs. We came to Malaysia in order to save our lives. We are asylum seekers and refugees living in an extremely critical situation that we have saved our lives at the cost of bright future. Our first challenge is survival in this critical situation and secondly how to change the bleak future of ours into a bright one. We also need to help the asylum seekers and refugees to cope with these challenges up to some extent under the umbrella of the UNHCR.

What we do:

With limited resources, we are trying to make people stable. We educate the children and train people. We provide food and medical assistance and awareness, legal assistance and try our best to arrange employment.
