Evening of January 24, a magnitude 6.8 quake woke up thousands of families in Elazig province and neighboring provinces of Malatya. As of today, there are reported 1,600 hurt, 38 killed and a few more missing and separated from their families.
Turkey government represented by President Tayyip Erdogan announced over the weekend that steel-framed houses are temporarily being built to house displaced residents – to be followed by permanent housing real soon.
Volunteers around the nation and abroad have been sending supplies but requires more of the following:
• Thermal blankets
• Hygiene kits
With unity and togetherness, your donation will help heal the wounds of a great disaster and uplift the spirits of Turkish families. All funds donated in this project will be donated thru Human Appeal (UK), an international relief and deployment agency that helps strengthen humanity in the face of poverty, social injustice and natural disaster. Proceeds will be used to purchase above items and help survivors stay warm, protected and fed as they go through this challenging time.
