Honoring the Life of Eliana Ordoñez Callamand

Hello everyone,

Eliana Ordoñez Callamand, woman, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, daughter, sister, classmate, college classmate, coworker and colleague of many and many people who knew and admired her.

She was a brave and sensitive woman who dedicated her life to the service of society through the practice of medicine and helped thousands of people in their years of work in Colombia.

We want to commemorate her departure by planting native trees in her name, next Sunday, November 7, at the Encenillo Biological Reserve.

The trees that we will plant, which are native and typical of the forest High Andean region of our Sabana de Bogotá, they will live for many many years. They will help heal an area that was destroyed, they will make a community that supports each other in the forest and they will give shelter to many animals and living organisms.

Just like these trees, the memory of Eliana lives in each one. of us on a day-to-day basis. Let us be like that forest, which creates community, which supports itself and provides shelter when someone else needs it. Let's be like the forest, which intertwines its roots and connects deeply with the presence and existence of the other.

We summon all the people who knew Eliana and admired her.

Each Little Tree Native costs $10 US. If each of you donates a little tree, we will make a giant forest to honor the life of this wonderful woman!
